Overview
Why Apple Music Matters for Billboard Charts
"Starting in January, the Billboard charts will add more weight to on-demand streaming to better reflect an increase in streaming revenue and changing consumer behaviors." — Billboard
In other words, since Apple Music is an on-demand streaming platform it means that streams will be weighted more on Billboard charts. It's also a paid subscription service meaning it's weighted more favorably compared to ad-supported on-demand streams.
What's Apple Music?
Apple Music is a streaming music service, where instead of buying individual songs or albums, you pay a monthly fee for all the music you can listen to. You can download the songs for offline listening as well. It's available on most iOS devices, Android, Windows, PC, and more.

→
After deleting, search for the track again and press the + button to add it back to your library. Now, streaming will count toward the charts!
- Open Apple Music.
- Search for the song you want to stream.
- Add the song to your library.
- Hit play and enjoy!
Tips for creating your own playlists
- When creating playlists, you can either do two Megan Thee Stallion songs then two fillers or one Megan Thee Stallion song then two fillers.
- You can add the fillers from your favorite artists besides MTS.
- This is usually helpful if you want to play an album or song for an extended period of time and want most of your streams to count
Why are fillers important?
Fillers are important, because we want to prevent streaming services' algorithms from filtering out streams of albums/songs and for organic listening behavior.
